McNabola Law Group recently resolved a premises liability case for a significant confidential amount two short months before the scheduled jury trial date in Cook County. David McCracken and Mark McNabola settled the case with an agreed upon retired judge who acted as the mediator.
The premises liability case involved a college student who was injured on school property while on a class tour of a model house that was being built by the college’s architecture students. The model house was a two story structure with a wooden staircase leading to the second-floor mezzanine. As she was about to descend the staircase, the landing at the top of the stairs collapsed and she fell through the floor to the main level of the house. As a result of the fall, she suffered severe injuries, including a herniated disc in her lumbar spine and multiple fractured ribs.
“I am so grateful to David McCracken and Mark McNabola for guiding me through such a difficult time that completely disrupted my college education. They kept me up to date with each development and were able to settle my case much faster than I thought possible.”
