Well-known trial attorney Mark McNabola was a sponsor for the Canal Shores Invitational Hosted by Joel Murray & Friends.
The golf event, which took place in August, honors first responders and military personnel. Proceeds for the event benefited the First in Foundation NFP, which provides funds to first responders’ and veterans’ charities.
Both the Murray and McNabola families are longtime friends from St. Joseph Parish and Loyola Academy in Wilmette.
“People have their own favorite charities they support, so I always feel weird trying to coerce friends to support mine, which makes it all the better when old friends like Mark and his McNabola Law Group get involved without any coaxing,” Murray said.
Bill Murray was inducted into the Irish American Hall of Fame earlier this year, and Joel Murray attended.
The golf event, in its fifth year, was held at Canal Shores Golf Course in Evanston, where the Murray brothers grew up playing golf and Bill worked during his high school years.
